This afternoon we would like to share a post about an engagement session. Several times a year we get inquiries from couples who just need an engagement photo session. First it seemed little bit odd to us why would couple want to book us just for an engagement session and not asking us to cover the entire wedding day. But then we understood that there are so many different circumstances. Sometimes couples are on a very tight budget. The other times their wedding is out of town and they have their friend/relative who will cover wedding day but they still would love to have engagement session done by us. So even thou it’s very rare that we get inqury from couples who just need an engagement session, mostly we receive inquires about photographing entire wedding, however one’s a while we do get a request to cover just an engagement session. And this evening I wanted to share this post and say that yes we do offer engagement sessions exclusively, now it’s part of our Ala Carte options. In last 2 years we had several destination engagement sessions that were several hundred miles away from Sacramento. One of the engagement we did in LA, and we had TONS of fun. Here is first part of engagement session for Paul and Victoria. Engagement session was about 3 hrs long, i would say most of our engagement session range between 2 and 3 hrs. We shoot in downtown for about 35 minute and drove to another location that matched theme that we talked about. Working with Paul and Vicky was amazing. They loved our photography style totally trusted our every move, and we were just having fun during shooting. It’s amazing how much we were laughing thru out whole session. Weather day that was pretty cloudy, and I really love how colors turned out on this engagement session, especially images against red flowers such a rich color tones. Hello readers! I hope you all are having a good week and enjoying this warm weather that is finally here.
This week we would love to share with you some images from a recent engagement session of a super fun couple. Tarah and Tyler reserved their wedding day with us online therefore we met for the first time on the day of engagement photo shoot. Their wedding day will be this summer 2012.
When we were choosing a location for photo session Tarah told us that Tyler is a musician and has been playing guitar for many years, so I asked them to bring a guitar. Their dream is to own a house in the country and to raise family there, so we decided to use a country setting for e-shoot. As soon as we meet them I knew it’s going to be fun engagement session, because Tarah and Tyler have an amazing connection to each other.

Arlena+Joseth engagement photo session was pretty cool. Joseph is a musician and a piano teacher and he brought his guitar for the shoot. Engagement session took place in Santa Cruz that is 3 1/2 hrs away from Sacramento. Santa Cruz beach with that fresh breeze from ocean, amazing. We don’t get that in SF area. Before Arlene and Joseth arrived I walked around and found really cool spanish style houses. Well, scroll down and enjoy! Wedding is set for August 2011.
