Hello everyone!   Even thou it’s a very busy wedding time, our production is up to date, so we’re able to post this Saturdays wedding already!   

Who: Konstantin and Larisa
When: This Saturday
Where:  Fresno, CA 

Wedding did started early.   We had to be at Fresno 8 AM and because we’re located in Sacramento CA that puts us 3:10 min driving.  So yes I did had to wake up at 3:50 AM.  But than again it’s exiting! 

By the way here is photo of Kostya (that I shoot) playing at Worship band (guitar) back in 2006. 

Was it hard driving?  NO!  Because I had Yuliya who came with me, so it was very interesting.  Yuliya is our church member and a photographer that came along as 2nd shooter.   Because Yuliya lived and studdied Hebrew in Israel through the Master’s  College program, called IBEX,  she shared so much einteresting information.  On the way back all the sudden I got so sleepy, good thing Yuliya noticed that and told me to pull over so she can drive.     

I can say that San and Larisa are very very nice couple.   Very fun and outgoing.  It’s a blessing to have so many nice couples!
I’ll try to post more pictures this week.   

After reception at the end of the day we drove to old town and found bicycle.   It was one of those
old 1 speed classy European type bycicles.  I knew pictures of bride and groom riding on the bicycle will turn out
great because I have seen this idea in Bridal wedding magazine.   

Kids were so cute:)  Now that I have 2 kids, I know how to talk to them:-).

Good afternoon everyone.   I know I haven’t post anything for the last 2 weeks.   Oksana and I were working on post production.
Here is another good news!   I have spend more time with my family!  First time in a long time I didn’t have a wedding on Saturday so we went out with the whole family on the Lake.  Also yesterday I took my son to Folsom.  We have 215 HP Supercharged RXP (Sea Doo) jet-ski.   Last year I only took it on the water one’s or twice.   Shame on me:(.    This time I said “Hey Mike you want to go on jet ski” he was so exited! so we went:).   Sea Do (jet ski) have a cooler, so my wife put lots of drinking water, soda, ice cream inside.  So when we got to the middle of the lake we were sitting eating ice cream, drinking water,  enjoyed other boats driving by.   Weather was perfect:-) because we went out evening time.   Ok enough of that.  Here are 4 E-sessions.

Fran and Jeff 

Jeff and Fran found me thru Lena (bride that I photographed in 2007).  Thank-you Lena!.   Jeff and Fran live in Placer so I came out there for e-session photo-shoot.   We stopped at many different cool places to take photos,  but most important stop was Lake Tahoe.  I wanted to make sure we arrive at lake Tahoe about 40 minutes before sun set, and that’s pretty much when we got there.   Every-time I think about this nice couple I think about nice dinner that Fran and Jeff took me at.   Whole photo-shoot was very interesting.  Thank-you guys for that nice dinner and finding keys!.

Loosing keys 2 hrs away from home at 11:30 at night was another story!    

Julie and Daniel 

To be honest with you I can’t write too much about Julie and Daniel simply because we haven’t got to know each other that well.
Julie and Daniel had to move their wedding day one week further.  Unfortunatly that day was teken so I have refered this young couple
to another photographer.  

Nataly and Vitaliy

I know this couple for more than a year.  Both of them were part of the wedding party of Andrey & Olesia
that I photographed back in Sep 2007.  
Also in 2007 I was hired to photograph Baptising event in the church that Nataly and Vitaliy attent
and they were getting baptised.     So it happened to be that we know each other well.

On e-session day I took Nataly and Vitaliy to MINI Golf park where Oksana (my wife and I) went for the
first time when we started to date.   I haven’t been at this place for 10 years so it was very interesting to
come back and check it out.

Tonia and Dima. 

I asked Dima several times how did he found out about our studio and I believe he told me that many
different people told him about us.   Tonia and Dima reserved wedding day for Sep 06 2008 all of way in January of this year.  
Sep 06, 2008  happens to be my Birthday! 

Now here is something that you might find very interesting.   I have been asked to photographed wedding on Sep 06 2008 by at least 7 or 10 other couples!   
About a week ago I had another person who asked about availability for Sep 6 08.   After I hold him I can’t do it he asked me if I can refer him to another
photographer.   But the truth I (almost) booked every fellow photographer that I know for this day as well.   So there is SOMETHING special about this day!

Hi guys!  Here is wedding for Peter and Diana.    On the way to photoshoot Peter asked me “Andrey where on the website did you put our E-session photos?” I have different people who came up to me and told me “nice pictures” but I went to your site and couldn’t find my pictures anywhere.   So answer to you guys is:   When you get to the Bottom of this page (BLOG) at the bottom click  Previous to see more posts.   OR at the right side you can browse posts by month.    

I was on time:)  We agreed that I’ll start photographing at 8:00 am and look it’s 8:00 am and I’m already taking photos, I came to Petr house at 7:52. 

Look at Peter (groom).   I bet he is thinking:   “What? my best friend has secrets from me… on my wedding!”.
I wonder what is he saying in the middle of the photo-shoot when he was told to stand still, !?

How did we do image below?  We didn’t do anything wind picked it up so beutifully. 

Ok here are few shoots from yesterday photo session.   There are a lot of variations, because we had time:)   By variations I mean Tania with every girl and David with best man and rest of guys.   Lots of portraits, lots of fun moments LOTS of everything!:) 

Did we jump to the pool after this?  YES we did!   Was is FUN?    Highlight of my carrier:-)!  Pictures turned out good?  Oh yes!   
There was a talk whenever TUX or Tania’s wedding dress are going to be ruined, but pool had -salt- filtration not -chlorine- so we knew it’s going to be fine.  Next day I asked Tania “How’s your wedding dress” she said “Oh so much cleaner, not sure if I even have to take it to the dry clean place”:). 

During pool photo session I told them to do this and that.. and Tania goes “Andrey I’m cold!, you’re smart telling us what to do because you’re nice and dry.. so I said David “David hold my camera” and Tania. said “Oh  Andrey is jumping too!”    So I did it and Water was so warm..”.. .. I don’t know why Tania was complaining:-)! O.

Lena was videotaping everything on HD Canon cam.   That is going to be SOO much fun to watch in 10 years:)!!!

Because so many of you come up and said you want to view pool pictures so badly, I’ll put one up.  
I took both “fun crazy” photos and nice and romantic where bride is floating in the pool and groom is gently kissing her neck.. you know those…..

But guess. what.!  only 1 image just to prove it that I’m very genuine on what I say on blog.  When I said we “jumped to the pool” we really did:-)!

This week was pretty intense and it’s not over yet!  
Friday had to do e-session,
Saturday full day wedding,
Sunday 2 weddings. 
Monday I’m photographing.   “2nd day wedding photography extended coverage”.

This is one happy crowd.   It takes me energy not to get them exited but to make sure they are not too exited….  it’s almost out of control! in a good way:)  So guess what!  We’re all thinking to go and jump to the pool at Tania’s best friend Lena’s house.  Lena has a HUGe nice pool, very nice house and very big backyard.    Tania was pretty exited yesterday when we talked about it.    She paid a lot of money for the wedding dress, but she said ”If Andrey said it’ll look very cool, we have to do it!”   So I respect Tania for that:)!  However David is still  having 2nd thouths.   Videographer Igor got really exited about videotaping that whole event.  He said I’ll come over and video tape it for free. ..because he really wants to see how it’ll turn out.  I told him photoshoot with bride Tania in water will take at least 20 minutes.  One of those “trash the dress idea’s that becomes very popular”.   

Tuesday.   You will not be able to reach me.. I’m taking full day Totally off.  

Sunday I was very hyper:)!   I mean wedding party of 18 plus 4 kids.  22 people.  2 limos (like always) and very happy guys and girls. because we had 2 weddings, I had 2 photographers who helped me out Oksana my wife and Val.  This image was taken by Oksana, she did awesome!  Lots of “Hi End images”.   I honestly don’t want to put every wedding I photograph to Blog because it’s too much.    The problem is when I leave someone out, they think “Hum.. why us”..    

I have left many E-sessions OFF The BLOG!   WHY? A) Not enought time for Blog. –  My priority is to give images and albums to bride and groom as fast FAST as we can.  And blog is not priority.  B) it’s getting way to over crowded.. Too many images..  I want to simplify. 

So if you don’t see your pictures here, it’s not that I don’t like you:).. but lack of time! 

Nataly is Tania’s sister who is hair stylist.   Nataly ownes very nice “Hi End salon” in Rocklin area and has like 18 people working there.
When Nataly hired me as photographer (thank you Natasha, I know you’ll read this post) to photograph all her employees, I thought it’ll take me 2 hrs to photograph but it took 1/2 the day to do that job. 

Oksana took this images, while I was photographing another wedding. 
Someone asked me “Who is better in photography Oksana or you”? My answer would be “I don’t know”.
You guys decide:). 

A year ago I was photographing Wedding in Charlotte.   David (groom was best man at his brother Vadim wedding).  Anyway cake at Lina and Vadim wedding was made of 5 pieces and I wanted to make a good photograph, so  I tried many angles and they were “ok” but not great.  So I pulled 3 chairs together and asked one person to hold my legs and got way on top of chair to take a shoot.   David was like “make sure camera doesn’t fall into the cake”.   So this time I came to photograph cake and David was looking.. so I did this shoot just for kicks.. see if he remembers how I did it at his brothers wedding…

This time Alex (best man) got the flowers stead of girls, so Tania had to redo whole thing!  He got so exited

Bride Groom and me.   Many times I love to have 1 photo with Bride and Groom, I believe they don’t mind to have 1 photo for their memory as well,
scense they have to work whole day with me.   I sit next to Bride and Groom in limo, I talk to them the most thru out whole day, we become ‘best friends’.

Hello everyone, today I came back from Philadelphia (wedding) that’s why I didn’t write anything last week!  And I’m so glad!  It was so much fun to be away from computer and Internet for 5 days.   One guy called me on my cell phone and asked “How come when I wrote to you E-mail came back?” At that time I knew it’s time to check email and delete some emails.  :).   

Here are some questions that have been asked the most:
1.  Do I travel for weddings outside of CA?   
Answer is YES.   I have been in different states through out the years.  In fact, Mellisa who is Angela’s (brides sister) is getting married in Florida in 2 weeks congratulations!  And wanted me to come and photograph her wedding.  But I can’t come over because I have another wedding that I need to photograph that day. 

2.  Is Daniel my relative or close friend that he asked me to come all of way from California?  
Answer is NO.  Daniel liked my style and has been referred to me by Natalia and Darina (thank you girls:)).   Natalia and Darina had weddings in 2007 and I was their photographer.   But I do know Daniel family.  When we were going to US in 1991 his entire family came to Ukraine to tell us “good buy”, so his Dad and my Dad are very good friends.   His parents found out who I’m after I have been hired.

I really like “Love Story” that tells how Daniel and Angela meet.  Angela was born here in US but met Daniel in Moldova because her parents were missionaries.  Daniel asked if he can date Angela in Africa, and they got married in United States.    Very interesting story!   

A couple people asked me to put more images on blog, so there you go:)  Here is 2 more from Ceremony ‘kids’..

Ha!  Someone took a photo of me photographing wedding party on my camera!  I didn’t even know that:).   I came home downloaded photos and found my self on one of them!  Thanks who ever you are.. but if you read this.. fyi: you were holding $8,000 camera body and very expensive lens attached to that - $9,500 total.   So you rather be carefull next time!  Actually, someone is running with my camera’s on 90% of my weddings..  I don’t mind! 

Above is place #1  “Castle”  We only had about 12 minutes to photograph because Security kicked us out.    One of the people told me permit to photograph in this place cost $350 per hour.   Trully that place is very beautiful.

Very outgoing crowd as you can see:).   It was sooo easy to work with them, the whole wedding party knew we had very
limmited time so they really obeyed:)  Thanks guys!
